Other than the Existence

Other than the Existence

The analyzes in this book aiming at addressing the major triangulation points of the Levitnas’ metaphysics, that treats ethics as the primal philosophy, revolve around the four central concepts closely related to each other: dissimilitude- meaning – sensitivity – subjectivity. The philosopher, who develops the concept of ethics through these concepts, tries to clarify the transontological, and hence the transphenomenological, meanings of these concepts and others associated with them, and in doing so, attempts to establish ethics as the basis of everything. Again in his fundamental critiques of ontology, the idea of wholeness, of idealism and / or intellectualism, these concepts and the related issues associated with them play a dominant role. This book that tries to show the philosophical thought of Levinas through its development is a critical introduction to its ethics -its primal philosophy- that is metaphysics.
