Yunus Emre

Yunus Emre

Yunus Emre, who lived in the 13th century, one of the most difficult periods of Anatolia, healed to the wounded souls, who finds and make seekers find what’s being sought… aiming at teaching Islam to the newly-converted Muslim Anatolians up to the mark, Yunus Emre used all the means of Sufism and all the possibilities of the heart’s language to the fullest. Yunus, who devoted his life to telling people about Allah, said poems with unifying content and endearing style in a comprehensible language; and doing so he played a pioneering role in making Turkish the language of religion, poetry and literature.
